In 1966 arriveert Justo Gil als migrant in Barcelona met als doel genoeg geld te verdienen om zijn zieke moeder de beste zorg te geven. Zijn grote charisma stelt hem in staat om om te gaan met de jongeren uit de hogere klasse, totdat een onverwachte wending in de gebeurtenissen hem ertoe brengt een informant van de politieke politie te worden, om communistische cellen te achtervolgen.
