Een jonge wees genaamd Biwa wordt opgevangen door de machtige Taira Clan, ook wel bekend als de Heike, nadat hun leider getuige is geweest van haar buitengewone paranormale gaven. Helaas voorspelt zij een toekomst vol bloedvergieten, geweld en burgeroorlog. Geïnspireerd door het 12e-eeuwse epische verhaal Heike Monogatari.
