Op weg naar huis nadat hij zijn verdriet heeft weg gedronken nadat hij was afgewezen door zijn verliefdheid, vindt de 26-jarige salarisman Yoshida een middelbare schoolmeisje genaamd Sayu aan de kant van de weg en laat haar uiteindelijk een nacht bij hem logeren.
