De 16-jarige Nagi Umino, tweedejaars student aan de middelbare school Megurogawa Academy, werd bij de geboorte verwisseld. Op weg naar een diner om zijn biologische ouders te ontmoeten, ontmoet hij per ongeluk de onbezonnen, openhartige Erika Amano, die vastbesloten is om van Nagi haar nep vriendje te maken, aangezien ze nooit echt wil trouwen. Maar zodra Nagi aan tafel komt, merkt hij dat zijn ouders hebben besloten de verwisseling in het ziekenhuis op te lossen door hem voor het gemak te laten trouwen met de dochter die zijn biologische ouders hebben grootgebracht... die niemand minder blijkt te zijn dan Erika zelf!
